She's Going to Say Yes. You're Going to Have Every Second on Camera.

I've been hiding behind dunes, blending into crowds, and capturing surprise proposals for twenty-one years. Every single one has gone off without a hitch, because we plan it that way.

You've Got the Ring. Now Let's Make Sure the Moment Is Perfect.

Here's the thing about surprise proposals. They're one of the hardest things to photograph. You get exactly one chance. There's no "let's try that again." No do-overs. That's why most photographers won't touch them. I've spent twenty-one years perfecting the art of being invisible. We'll get on a call and map out every detail (where you'll stand, where she'll be looking, where I'll be hiding), and when the moment comes, you won't even know I'm there. But every tear, every gasp, every "OH MY GOD" will be right there in your photos. And yes, they've all gone flawlessly. Every. Single. One.

How a Surprise Proposal Actually Works

The reason they always go perfectly? We plan it like a mission.

1

You Reach Out

Shoot me a message with the basics: when, where, and any ideas you have. Don't worry if you don't have a plan yet. That's literally what I'm here for.
2

We Build the Game Plan

We hop on a call and map out every detail. Timing, positioning, backup plans, the whole thing. I'll walk you through exactly what to do so you can actually enjoy the moment instead of stressing about it.
3

I Disappear

On the day, I'm already in position before you arrive. You won't see me. She definitely won't see me. But my camera will see everything.
4

She Says Yes (They Always Do)

After the big moment, I come out for a mini session or a full portrait session. Your call. Sneak peeks go out right away. Full gallery delivered to download and share with everyone.

Where I Shoot Surprise Proposals

Three regions, hundreds of perfect spots

Jersey Shore LBI • Avalon • Stone Harbor • Sea Isle • Cape May • Harvey Cedars
Philadelphia Center City • Union League • W Hotel • Rittenhouse
South Jersey Haddonfield • Mount Laurel • Cherry Hill • Moorestown

Got a different spot in mind? I've shot proposals at restaurants, parks, rooftops, vineyards, private homes, you name it. If you've got a location, I'll figure out how to be invisible there.

Best Places to Propose in My Coverage Area

After 100+ proposals, I know every great spot, and exactly how to disappear at each one

Best Places to Propose at the Jersey Shore

The Jersey Shore is hands-down the most popular spot for surprise proposals, and for good reason. Empty beaches at golden hour, dunes I can hide behind, and that ocean backdrop make every proposal feel like a movie. I've shot surprise proposals from LBI all the way down to Cape May, and each town has its own vibe.

Long Beach Island (LBI). Barnegat Lighthouse is iconic. The rocks, the lighthouse, the views are unbeatable. I've also done proposals on the quiet beaches of Harvey Cedars and Surf City where you'll have the sand practically to yourselves.

Avalon & Stone Harbor. These are some of the most beautiful and private beaches on the Shore. The dune paths make for incredible proposal spots, and I've got hiding spots dialed in from years of shooting here.

Sea Isle City. The promenade at sunset is stunning. I can position myself casually along the boardwalk with a telephoto lens and nobody bats an eye.

Cape May. The most romantic town on the Shore. The lighthouse, Sunset Beach, the Victorian streets, every corner is proposal-worthy. Off-season proposals here are some of the most dramatic I've ever captured.

Ocean City, Wildwood & Point Pleasant. Boardwalk proposals, beach proposals, pier proposals, I've done them all up and down the Shore. If you've got a spot in mind, I guarantee I can figure out how to be invisible there.

Best Places to Propose in Philadelphia

Philly proposals have a completely different energy. More urban, more dramatic, with some seriously iconic backdrops. The city gives me more crowd cover too, which makes staying hidden even easier.

Rittenhouse Square. Classic Philly. The park setting is intimate but still feels like a big moment. I blend in with the other people in the park and you'd never know I'm there.

The Union League. If you want something upscale and private, this is it. I've shot multiple proposals at the Union League and the interiors photograph beautifully.

W Hotel Rooftop. That Philadelphia skyline at sunset? Incredible. Rooftop proposals are always a hit and the photos are absolute showstoppers.

Philadelphia Art Museum & Boathouse Row. The Rocky Steps, the Schuylkill River views, Boathouse Row lit up at twilight, these are bucket-list proposal locations and I know every angle.

Race Street Pier, Love Park & Old City. Each has its own personality. Race Street Pier gives you the Ben Franklin Bridge. Love Park is, well, Love Park. Old City cobblestones at golden hour are incredibly romantic.

Best Places to Propose in South Jersey

South Jersey is my home base (Mount Laurel, to be exact), so I know this area better than anyone. There are some genuinely beautiful spots here that most people overlook for proposals.

Haddonfield. The historic downtown with its tree-lined streets and charming shops makes for a gorgeous proposal setting. I've captured some incredibly emotional moments here.

Moorestown, Cherry Hill & Collingswood. Parks, gardens, favorite restaurants. Sometimes the most meaningful proposals happen in the places that mean the most to your relationship. If there's a restaurant where you had your first date or a park where you always walk together, that's a perfect spot.

Vineyards & Estates. Renault Winery, Willow Creek Winery, and the various estates throughout Burlington and Camden County are stunning proposal locations with built-in elegance and privacy.

What the Guys Say

I was so nervous about the proposal, but Jordan made the whole thing feel easy. We planned everything out on a call, and when the day came, I had zero stress. The photos were unreal. You can literally see the moment she realized what was happening. My family lost it when they saw the sneak peeks.

Hey, I'm Jordan.

I've been photographing and filming surprise proposals for twenty-one years. I started shooting weddings and quickly realized that proposals are a completely different beast. Way harder, way more pressure, and honestly? Way more fun. There's something incredible about being the only person (besides you) who knows what's about to happen. Watching it unfold, seeing her face change in real time, I still get amped up every single time. The reason every proposal I've shot has gone perfectly isn't luck. It's because I'm borderline obsessive about planning. We'll go over everything: where you'll walk, where I'll be hiding, what to do if she looks the wrong way, all of it. By the time you're standing there with the ring, the only thing you need to worry about is not crying before she does. Let's Plan Your Proposal

Questions Guys Always Ask

If you're thinking it, someone else has already asked me

How do you stay hidden during a surprise proposal?
I use telephoto lenses so I can shoot from a significant distance without being noticed. Depending on the location, I might be positioned behind dunes on the beach, sitting at a nearby table at a restaurant, blending into a crowd in the city, or set up behind trees in a park. We plan my exact position during our call so there's zero chance she spots me. After 100+ proposals, I've got this part dialed in.
What if the proposal doesn't go as planned?
That's the beauty of our planning process. We cover every scenario. What if she walks to the wrong spot? What if other people are in the way? What if it starts raining? We build backup plans for all of it. In 21 years, I've never had a proposal go sideways because we account for everything ahead of time.
Do you do proposals at the Jersey Shore in the off-season?
Yes, and honestly some of the best proposals I've shot have been in the off-season. Fewer people on the beach means more privacy, more dramatic skies, and an even more intimate feel. I shoot Jersey Shore proposals year-round: LBI, Avalon, Sea Isle City, Cape May, Harvey Cedars, all of it.
Can you help me choose a proposal location?
Absolutely. I've shot at so many locations across the Jersey Shore, Philadelphia, and South Jersey that I can recommend spots based on what vibe you're going for, how private you want it, and what time of day works best. Beach sunset? Rooftop in Philly? A quiet park in Haddonfield? I've done them all and I know exactly what works.
How quickly will I get photos after the proposal?
You'll get sneak peek photos right away, usually within hours, so you can share the news with family and friends immediately. Your full gallery will be ready within a couple weeks, delivered through an online gallery where you and your family can download everything.
Do you offer video for surprise proposals?
Yes! Video is a great add-on for proposals because you get to hear the real-time audio: her gasp, the "yes," all the happy chaos. I can do photo only, video only, or both together. We'll figure out what makes sense for your location and budget during our planning call.
What happens after she says yes?
Once the surprise is over and the happy tears are flowing, I come out and introduce myself (she's usually pretty shocked there's a photographer). From there, we can do a quick mini session (15-20 minutes of portraits right there while the excitement is still fresh) or a full engagement-style session if you want more variety and locations.
How far in advance should I book?
The more time the better for planning, but I've pulled off proposals with as little as a week's notice. Ideally, reach out 2-4 weeks before your planned date so we have time to scout the location and build a solid game plan. Peak season at the Jersey Shore (May-October) books up faster, so don't wait too long if that's your window.
How much does a surprise proposal photographer cost?
Every proposal is different, so I build custom packages based on your location, timing, and whether you want photo, video, or both. I don't do cookie-cutter pricing because a beach proposal in Avalon is a completely different setup than a rooftop proposal at the W Hotel in Philadelphia. Reach out and I'll put together a quote that makes sense for your specific plan.
Do I need a proposal photographer, or can a friend just take photos?
You could ask a friend, but here's the reality. Your friend has to stay hidden, get the timing right, use the right equipment, and capture a moment that happens in about 3 seconds. If they miss it, it's gone forever. I've done this over 100 times with a 100% success rate. A friend with an iPhone has done it zero times. This is one of those moments where you really want a professional.
What if the weather is bad on proposal day?
We plan for this during our call. Depending on the location, we'll have a backup plan ready: a covered area nearby, an indoor alternative, or we reschedule. I'm flexible and I want this to be perfect just as much as you do. Jersey Shore weather can be unpredictable, so I always have a Plan B (and sometimes a Plan C).
When is the best time of day to propose for the best photos?
Golden hour, the last hour before sunset, gives you the most incredible light. The warm glow makes everything look cinematic, and it's especially stunning at the Jersey Shore with the ocean in the background. That said, I've shot beautiful proposals at all times of day. We'll figure out the best timing for your specific location and season during our planning call.
How do I get her to the proposal spot without being suspicious?
This is one of the most common things guys stress about, and one of the things I help with the most. After 100+ proposals, I've heard every cover story in the book. "We're going for a walk." "I made dinner reservations nearby." "My friend said we should check out this spot." I'll help you come up with something natural that fits your relationship so she has zero idea what's coming.
