New Jersey weddings, captured the way the day actually felt

Two decades photographing weddings all over New Jersey, from Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton to the beach at Windows on the Water in Sea Bright to the barn at Bishop Farmstead. Real moments, gentle direction when you want it, and a calm plan for the day so you can actually enjoy it.

A Quick Note From Me

I know these venues, and I only take 15 weddings a year

I have photographed weddings across New Jersey since 2005, more than 500 of them, and I still get a little excited every time one of these venues shows up on my calendar. That is the part I want you to feel here. Not a gear list. Not a pushy sales pitch. Just someone who has spent twenty-one years learning how a New Jersey wedding day actually moves, and who genuinely loves being in the room for it.

I keep my year small on purpose. Fifteen weddings, no more. That means you get me on your wedding day, working alongside a second pro I have shot with for years, not a second-string shooter you have never met. Sneak peeks land in your inbox within 72 hours, and your full gallery comes back in three to four weeks, not three months. A lot of my couples tell me the same thing afterward: that I was thorough, organized, and calm, and that the day ran smoothly because there was always a plan behind it.

New Jersey vs. Philadelphia

Why so many couples pick a Jersey wedding

I photograph on both sides of the river, so I say this with love for Philly too. But New Jersey weddings tend to be easier on everyone. Your guests can usually get there on a couple of main highways instead of fighting the Blue Route, traffic, and the parking hunt that comes with a city venue. Hotels are simple to check into. A lot of Jersey venues are one-stop, where the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all live on the same grounds, so nobody is driving all over in a caravan between a church and a ballroom.

Philly has its own magic, bigger rooms a lot of the time and more of an old-world feel. But those tall buildings block the sunset, so there are honestly not a ton of great golden-hour spots downtown. Out here you get open sky. Shore venues and outdoor Jersey venues give you those warm end-of-day portraits far more often. One tip I give couples all the time: if you are getting married down the shore in peak summer, look hard at a Friday. It makes the drive down so much easier for your guests, and the whole weekend feels more relaxed.

If you grew up in Jersey and you want a laid-back day where everything is in one beautiful place, this is the move.

Where I Shoot

Every corner of New Jersey

From the shore to the Delaware, here is where I spend my wedding seasons.

The Jersey Shore

Avalon, Sea Bright, Wildwood, Cape May and the barrier island venues. Beach ceremonies, open-sky sunsets, and that easy summer energy. ICONA Avalon and Windows on the Water live here, and I never get tired of it.

Central Jersey & the Princeton Area

Hamilton, Princeton, East Brunswick and the middle of the state, which is easier for guests to reach than people expect. Home to Grounds for Sculpture, Park Chateau, Stone Terrace and the Palace at Somerset Park.

North Jersey

Morristown, Florham Park and the surrounding towns. Estate venues and grand rooms like the Park Savoy and the Ryland Inn, an easy reach for couples coming out of the New York metro.

Jersey City & the Waterfront

Battello and Maritime Parc, with that Manhattan skyline sitting right across the water. Modern, dramatic, and a completely different feel from a shore or garden wedding.

South Jersey & the Delaware River

My home base near Mount Laurel, plus Southampton, Lambertville and the river towns. Barn venues like Bishop Farmstead and riverside spots that feel a world away without a long drive.

Five Venues I Love

The New Jersey venues I could photograph forever

I have shot at these more times than I can count. Here is what makes each one special, in my own words.

My Number One · Hamilton, NJ

Grounds for Sculpture

The minute you drive into either lot, the Rats Restaurant entrance or the main entrance, you are transported to a different planet. It is almost like a fairy tale, Alice in Wonderland meets an outdoor botanical garden, with the most amazing food and the most amazing staff and people around you. There are so many spots to shoot that I find new ones every single time I am there.

And it is always refreshed. The sculptures on the grounds change every year, and the indoor gallery pieces usually change too. A lot of venues will tell you they spent a million dollars on renovations and really they swapped the carpet color. Here you get whole new sculptures the size of a house, brand new, every year. It sits right in the middle of the state in Hamilton, so it is genuinely easy to get to, and your guests are going to be shocked at how cool it is. If there is ever a gap in the day, it does not matter one bit, because everyone can wander the grounds. And it is a dream spot to come back to every anniversary for dinner. It is also one of the venues where I am a recommended photographer, so I already know it inside and out.

Park Chateau Estate chapel and formal gardens, an East Brunswick, New Jersey wedding venue

East Brunswick, NJ

Park Chateau Estate

Park Chateau is one of my absolute favorites, and honestly it is what a lot of couples are searching for. The best part is that everything is right there. You drive in and the whole day is on one property, with their own chapel where you can get married indoors or out. The gardens are beautiful, the bar and reception room are gorgeous, and the staff is awesome.

The drive-in alone is stunning, that wrap-around driveway sets the tone before you even step out of the car. The bridal suite is one of the biggest and most spacious I have ever worked in, and the groom suite is really cool with a pool table, sitting right near the bridal side so nothing feels far apart. The chapel is genuinely unique and beautiful inside. It is one of those venues where the whole day just flows, and the photos show it.

Beachfront wedding ceremony at Windows on the Water in Sea Bright, New Jersey

Recommended Photographer · Sea Bright, NJ

Windows on the Water

I love Windows on the Water. It is one of the few venues that is actually right on the beach, and no matter how busy the shore gets in summer, parking here is always easy. The staff is phenomenal. I love the ceremony space, and I love the backup ceremony space just as much, an indoor cocktail-hour area that looks straight out over the water, so you are covered no matter what.

My favorite part might be the top balcony, where your guests can step out at night any time of year. It is beautiful up there after dark, with the water right in front of you. I am a recommended photographer at Windows on the Water, so I know exactly how to work every part of this venue, from the beach ceremony to those nighttime deck shots.

ICONA Avalon

ICONA Avalon has that super laid-back vibe, real Jersey Shore energy with a contemporary, elegant feel on top of it. The staff, the room, the grounds, it is honestly one of my favorite places in the world. It brings a smile to my face every single time I pull up.

It is the kind of place where couples relax the moment they arrive, and that comes through in the pictures. I am a recommended vendor here and at ICONA Diamond Beach in Wildwood, so if the shore is your dream, I already know these properties well.

Bishop Farmstead

It is kind of wild that Bishop Farmstead is right here in New Jersey. It is secluded and quiet, sitting in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by trees and forest, and when you arrive it is just stunning. I do not know many venues like it without driving hours into Pennsylvania to find a barn, which makes it really special.

The catering is excellent, the staff is amazing, and you can get ready on site with tons of spots to shoot. Walking up the stairs into the barn where the reception is feels like a dream, the wood paneling and the ceiling are incredible. The whole place has a relaxed, comfortable, carefree feel, with flowers and greenery everywhere and beautiful lighting that carries right into the night photos. The outdoor cocktail hour is phenomenal. It is one of the best places I have ever been to.

In Their Words

What New Jersey couples say

“We chose him because of his deep experience at Grounds for Sculpture, and he exceeded every expectation. His energy and professionalism put us at ease, allowing us to truly enjoy our day while he worked his magic.”

Francesca & Ilya · Grounds for Sculpture, Hamilton

“I did not think the photography was important, so I turfed the job to my fiance. I was so wrong. Jordan caught so many moments I missed being the bride. He was so chill, made everyone laugh, and the pictures were taken quickly. It was so worth it.”

Jesse & JJ · Bishop Farmstead, Southampton

“After my first inquiry, Jordan was friendly and willing to get to know every aspect of us. On our wedding day the photography went smoothly and effortlessly, even with the largest bridal party. When we got our first glimpse of the photos, they truly were breathtaking.”

Erica & Mike · ICONA Diamond Beach, Wildwood

“Jordan went above and beyond to capture every moment of our wedding while making sure everyone was having fun. Our favorite part was our sparkler send off when he surprised us with fireworks in the background. The pictures are unreal.”

Tia & Brian · Windows on the Water, Sea Bright

Common Questions

A few things New Jersey couples ask

Have you actually shot at my venue before?

Almost certainly. I have photographed weddings all over New Jersey since 2005, and I am a recommended vendor at Grounds for Sculpture, Windows on the Water, ICONA Avalon and ICONA Diamond Beach. If your venue is new to me, I scout it ahead of time so I walk in knowing the light, the timeline, and the best spots.

What if it rains on our wedding day?

I do not worry about weather, and you should not either. I can create beautiful photos rain or shine, and we always build multiple plans ahead of time so nothing catches us off guard. Couples tell me all the time that I am thorough and organized, and that is exactly why the day runs smoothly no matter what the sky does.

Do you cover the whole state?

Yes. From the shore to Jersey City to the Princeton area to the river towns, I photograph weddings across all of New Jersey, plus Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs. My home base is near Mount Laurel, so most of the state is an easy reach.

How quickly do we get our photos?

Sneak peeks within 72 hours, and your full color-corrected gallery within three to four weeks. No three-month black holes, no chasing me for updates.
