How a family session works with me
Real life, real personality, no “everyone look here.”
I don’t do the line-up-and-smile thing. We meet somewhere that feels like yours, a beach you go to anyway, the front porch, a park near the house, and we play. I let the kids be kids. I’m a big kid myself, so if your three-year-old has a lot of opinions and your seven-year-old will not stop running, good. That is the session. I will keep up.
Parents tell me family sessions are usually painful. Mine are not. Nobody is in trouble, nobody is getting bribed for one good frame, and you are not the heavy. You get to be in the pictures with your kids instead of behind them telling them to smile.
- One hour on location, wherever feels right. The shore, the city, your backyard, somewhere you love. Travel beyond the local area is welcome and quoted as needed.
- Private viewing session, in person or virtual, where I walk you through the gallery, help you pick the keepers, and guide you on what to print and where it’ll look best.
- Online gallery within 2 weeks, easy to share, easy to favorite.
- Print release included with purchase of digital photographs.

Mount Laurel home base, South Jersey and Philly year-round, the shore in summer.
Homes, parks, and on location across Haddonfield, Moorestown, Cherry Hill, Medford, Voorhees, Marlton, Mullica Hill, Collingswood, Center City, the Main Line, Bucks County, and out to Sea Isle, Avalon, Stone Harbor, Ocean City, and LBI in the warmer months. Travel beyond the local area welcome and quoted as needed.

Common questions
Things parents always ask
My kid will not sit still. Are family sessions even worth booking?
Yes, and please stop apologizing for it. The kids who run around end up with the best photos because the photos look like them. I plan around movement on purpose. Bring the energetic ones, bring the shy ones, bring the dog. We will play, and I will keep up.
What should we wear?
Whatever feels like you. The right call depends on the time of year, where we’re shooting, the background colors, and everyone’s skin tones, so I’d rather talk it through than hand you a formula. If you want to go full-on fancy, dress up, do something different and unique, awesome, the photos will be incredible. If you want jeans and summer dresses, comfortable and easy, that’s cool too. Once you book, we’ll figure out the right move together based on the location and the season.
Can we bring our dog?
Yes, absolutely bring your dog. Honestly I’d be a little mad if you didn’t. I grew up with yellow labs, I have a yellow lab now, and dogs make family photos better every single time. Just mention it in the inquiry form so I can plan around it. Outdoor or in-home sessions work best.
What if it rains?
Two options, and honestly the second one is more fun. One, we move under cover. A beautiful porch, a barn, a downtown alcove, your living room, somewhere with character so the photos still feel like the day. Two, we lean all the way in. Rain boots, rain jackets, umbrellas, puddles, the whole thing. A splash family session is one of the most fun shoots you will ever do, and the photos are unreal. You only get this version of your kids once. If a little rain shows up, let’s make it the best part of the day. If neither sounds right, we reschedule to the next available slot at no charge.
How many people fit in a session?
Up to seven works great. If your family is bigger, message me, we’ll figure out the right shape.
How fast do we get the photos?
Within two weeks, in an online gallery you can favorite, share, and download from. Before any of that, we sit down for a private viewing session, in person or virtual, where I walk you through the work full size and help you pick what to print and where it’ll look best.
Are digital files included, or do we buy them after?
Digitals are sold separately, after the gallery is up. Two ways to go: a favorites pack (the ones you love most) or the full gallery. Print release comes with whichever you pick, so you print where you want, when you want. The Luxury Family Plan rolls digitals into the monthly tier so there’s nothing to buy after.
What’s the right age range to start photographing kids?
Honestly, before they’re born. Start with a maternity session and keep going every year through college. People don’t realize how fast the window closes. High school is when it starts to turn, but the minute they’re out, they’re gone. New apartment, new schedule, a partner, a life that’s theirs. The next time you’re all in one room with a camera might be a wedding ten years later. Yearly sessions from maternity through senior year of college is the move.
