The Ballroom (Upstairs Reception)

The Palm Tree Walkway

Palm trees on a New Jersey beach. The ones between the two tents throw long shadows and clean lines across the walkway, and no other venue I shoot has anything like them.

The Vintage Lifeguard Stands

Two lifeguard stands sit on the beach (not actively used, just there for the vibe). I take every couple here. They’re perfect for midday coverage when the sun is high because the stands give structure and shade.

The Dunes

Walk out into the dunes and the frame empties. Tall grass, sand, nothing else. These end up being the most relaxed portraits of the whole day.

The Private Community Next Door

Most couples don’t know about this. There are really unique tree formations and a small garden just next door. If you have enough time in the portrait schedule, it’s a great spot for something different.

The Beach Bungalows

Covered wooden bungalows sit right on the beach, and almost nobody thinks to use them. When weather rolls in, they let me keep family formals outside instead of marching everyone back into the hotel. Even on a clear day, if one is empty, I’ll pull the couple or a family in for a quick portrait. The wood against the beach looks really cool.
