Laura and Justin were great to have me come down for their Virginia Beach Engagement Session. After two days of hanging out and shooting I feel very close to them. We decided to do one beach session in Virginia Beach and another in Williamsburg, Virginia. I have not been to Williamsburg since I was around 5-6 years old so I was amped to go back.
Laura and Justin, like myself, are true dog lovers. They have three. A great dane and two much smaller french bull dogs. We took the pooches to the beach for their first session and had to take two separate cars to fit the great dane in. I thought it was amazing that we were able to actually photograph on the boardwalk there where they met for the first time. They met up under this giant Poseidon statue that is beyond cool. Then we took the dogs to a more secluded beach and let them just roam around and be free. Laura was such a trooper in her dress as it was about 44 degrees out and windy.
It was nice to visit Williamsburg again. It was really cold there, but we had amazing light and a great time. We had some excellent photobombs by a little girl dressed up in classic Williamsburg attire and another runner in head to toe spandex. We found these incredible trees at one location that had like bulbs on the end of each branch. I have no idea what kind of trees they were, but looked great in silhouette. I cannot wait for their wedding and to hang out with Laura & Justin again. I’m blessed to find so many great people to work with.
Day One – Virginia Beach

Day Two – Williamsburg, VA

We photograph across the mid-Atlantic and beyond, but our home base is Philadelphia and South Jersey. If you are planning a wedding or engagement in that area, take a look at our guide to the best Philadelphia wedding venues and reach out. Traveling for the right couple is something we genuinely love doing.
