Emily & Thomas are a great couple with tons of style for their National Constitution Center wedding in Philadelphia, PA. They both have really nice families and awesome friends. It is always cool hanging out with both of them and the wedding day even more fun. Most of their wedding was photographed with film and not digital. Emily’s Dress was from Exquisite Bridal in Princeton, NJ and her bridesmaids were from Priscilla of Boston. Her shoes were by Christian Louboutin.
Henry Franz Videographer worked with me capturing their day and I always love working with him. Christina and her staff from Queen of Hearts wedding consultants made everything run smoothly, so Emily was worry free throughout the day. The Ceremony was held at St. Augustine Church in Philadelphia. We created with the couple and bridal party all around the City. The Quake Band provided entertainment for the evening and they were excellent to work with. The couple just moved from Philly to Pittsburgh, and I wish them the best!
A word on the venue
A quick note on where Emily and Thom celebrated. The National Constitution Center sits on Independence Mall in Philadelphia, a short walk from the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. Designed by Pei Cobb Freed and opened on July 4, 2003, it is the only museum in the country devoted to the United States Constitution. The Grand Hall Overlook, where most receptions happen, looks straight out at Independence Hall through floor-to-ceiling glass. My favorite detail is Signers’ Hall, the room with 42 life-size bronze statues of the men who signed the Constitution. You can walk among them. Couples who pick the NCC tend to love history and want a Philadelphia wedding that says something. Emily and Thom fit that exactly.

This was a beautiful letter to the bride from her brother.Emily’s father likes to play golf in his free time and I try on extensions…

Love my Holga during the reception!
Some final Holga photos in black and white at the end of the night.
Planning a Philadelphia wedding?
If you are starting to look at city venues, I keep a working list of the best Philadelphia wedding venues. The National Constitution Center is on it for a reason. For most weddings I shoot with a second photographer and often a small film team, so coverage of a venue this big never has gaps. Get in touch if you want to talk through your day.
