I photographed quite a few GTKY (getting to know you) sessions in 2014 and they are one of my favorite things to photograph. These sessions are how every new couple gets to know us before the wedding day. We explore a location together, figure out how they move and what makes them laugh, and come away with photographs that actually look like them. No forced posing. No stiff hands. The GTKY session is a core part of the Jordan Brian Studios process. Couples who book with us photograph more naturally on their wedding day because the camera is already familiar by then. We photographed couples across South Jersey and Philadelphia throughout 2014, from outdoor parks to urban settings to beaches along the shore. A few of these include Tara and Paul, Justine and Chris, Monica and Joe, Simona and Brandon, Nicole and Michael, Christine and Dennis, and Emily and Brad. You will also see film work scattered throughout, shot on the Contax 645 with Kodak Portra 400. Some of the double exposures in here are in-camera, not composited in post.
