This is my personal Sandals Whitehouse review from my stay there during late spring. Sandals Whitehouse Jamaica seems like just another all inclusive honeymoon destination until you experience just how romantic it really is. It is a place where you will fall more in love with your special someone. There are warm comforting surroundings, tropical atmosphere and a laid back vibe. You can take a simple little stroll on the beach, a brief swim in the warm salty ocean or laying out together in a private raft floating at sunset, or dinner at the ocean as the sun is setting.
Getting to Sandals Whitehouse Jamaica
After only a three hour and 15-minute direct flight I landed in Montego Bay Jamaica! One thing people neglect to mention about Sandals resorts is how awesome the hospitality suite is at the airport as you wait for your transfer to the resort. All you can eat fruit, cookies, and drinks as well as comfy leather couches and private restrooms make for a great pit stop before you continue your journey.
The car ride to Sandals Whitehouse in Jamaica takes about an hour and 45 minutes. The bus is very nice and comfortable and they do take a stop about half way to use the restroom or get a drink. A forewarning this is a rough drive as the roads have sharp turns, plenty of potholes and road obstructions.

First Impressions of Sandals Whitehouse Jamaica
I have been to all inclusive resorts before and also ones in Jamaica as you can see from one of my past weddings I photographed. The grounds are immaculate and it is quite a large resort broken into three main sections. Contact me at 856-552-0378 and I can tell you more about which is the best rooms for the views. All rooms are actually going to be renovated fairly soon, but are still pretty nice.
Shortly after I arrived checked in, I had several drinks at the pool. I ran back to my room to use the bathroom and when I opened the door one of the staff was in my bathroom and he says “Hey mon, making this bath for your girl and you”. I told him that I was there alone and for Sandals training. He said “No problem, mon” and contintued to layout the flowers and fill the tub.
Nightlife at Sandals Whitehouse Review Jamaica
As evening approached, I was passing by couples eating by candle light at private tables on the beach overlooking the reef that surrounds the island. You can walk into the water to a private cabana at night that overlooks billions stars while you struggle to open that bottle of champagne. Then sharing a heartfelt toast to make each other smile while you hold each other and let your feet tickle the top of the ocean water that you are floating over. This was hard to miss because it was right outside my room ;)
If you want to kick things up a notch you can grab a martini or several and enjoy the entertainment at the piano bar. You can choose the song for the pianist to play and everyone sings along. I even went downstairs at the restaurant below the piano bar and ordered desserts for our whole group that they brought up to us!
The food at Sandals Whitehouse Jamaica
Dining is delicious, romantic, and experimental. You can eat at any of the local restaurants and even hop from one to another on a whim. One of the closest to the ocean is Neptunes which has seating that overlooks the ocean and mountain range in the background. If you are into coffee of any kind iced/hot check out Café de Paris! I personally don’t drink coffee but everyone absolutely raved about it.
The seafood at Neptunes is amazing and keep those crab cakes coming!
Excursions and Watersports at Sandals Whitehouse Jamaica
There are numerous offsite excursions that you can do and even schedule before you arrive at your destination. I did not do any excursions during my stay but I was eyeing them up every time I passed the adventure hut. The most popular excursions would be the Catamaran Adventure Cruise, followed by the Deep Sea Fishing and Dolphin Encounter.
If you don’t want to do anything that far offsite, you can always play volleyball, swim, or do any of the onsite Watersports. Just remember they have limited hours and watch the weather as they usually get about 15-20 minutes of rain each day in Jamaica that really helps cool things off. But also they create incredible rainbows that stretch across the entire bay at Sandals Whitehouse.
If you are up for an adventure, you need to visit Island Routes if you have not already planned your excursions prior to your trip. I always help couples and families plan out these excursions well before their vacation/honeymoon.
They actually have wakeboarding at most of the Sandals destinations now too which is incredible!

One of the most romantic little huts you have to wade through the ocean to get to and its a solid 3ft deep before you hit the steps.
Red Lane Spa is one of the most tranquil spas and they are unique at each Sandals Destination. When they are rocking ginger lilly flower don’t come a knocking! It means someone is getting a private massage. Two flowers means couples massage.
Flora – Sandals Whitehouse review
Besides the beautiful warm weather, the vegetation and grounds were exquisite. This entire resort is covered with lush tropical plants, flowers, and trees all masterfully cared for. It’s quite hard not to get lost staring at some of the amazing bright colored flowers and the local Ginger Lilly’s. I certainly wanted to steal some of these plants and take them home with me.
You can have your wedding ceremony under this beautiful location or on the beach with a customized ceremony structure. The cakes are also customizable to your dream cake.
Birds of Sandals Whitehouse Jamaica
One of the things that the catalogs don’t talk about is the wild birds, peacocks, and kittens on site. They had two tiny baby kittens that the guests would swoon over whenever they made themselves present. They had several magnificently colorful peacocks that roamed around the property. When in the ocean, you can’t help but to gaze on the pelicans that swoop down every so often to catch a quick bite of fish.
Service at Sandals Whitehouse Jamaica
The staff at Sandals is one of a kind. They hire for the smile and train, train, train the staff so you can tell right away. I even remember Stacie Ann one of the waitresses from the first night I ate there. Her smile was so big it made the food even taste better! As I was finishing my drink, about to put it down, she was already there to hand me another.
Two of the waitresses at the end of the dinner party one night even sang to our group which made everyone’s jaws drop with their beautiful voices. The bartenders were also incredible social and pure fun. They would joke around with you, make games to keep you interested, and make the drinks extra strong with the top shelf liqueur. The girls at the front desk and at the gift shop were even sweet and down to earth.
A very cool thing I noticed was that the staff rakes the entire beach by hand each morning to make sure it is perfect for you when you are done breakfast and ready to play.
That Kate is always trying to grab some scultped booty and the drinks here are very very strong :)
