Stasia & Evan are one of my favorite couples of all time. I forgot to post this gem of a Point Pleasant Beach Wedding, so here is something for my throwback Thursday! It was a very tough year leading up to Stasia’s wedding as her father had a stroke just before their engagement session. You can really find out a lot about yourself through adversity in life and you can tell that Stasia is an incredible person and so is Evan being her rock through this entire experience.
They had a beautiful Greek Orthodox Wedding at St. Barbara’s Greek Orthodox Church. Greek churches are some of the most beautifully detailed and ornate places for a wedding ceremony. After some formals, we were off to Clark’s Landing for her Point Pleasant beach wedding in Winter…
It is always nostalgic photographing a Point Pleasant Beach wedding as I grew up going there as a kid and love that entire area. Her reception was at Clark’s Landing in Point Pleasant Beach. We photographed with her small bridal party in almost freezing, windy, cold and rainy conditions. The girls couldn’t feel their toes but they were up for an adventure. The reception was filled with awesome guests, flowing dollar bills and great times with their friends & family. I wish Stasia & Evan the best…
Clark’s Landing sits on the Manasquan River inlet in Point Pleasant Beach, a waterfront catering hall that has been hosting Jersey Shore weddings for decades. The water views from the ceremony and reception spaces face the river rather than the open ocean, which means even in winter you get that moody coastal light without being completely exposed to offshore wind. Point Pleasant itself is one of the most recognizable Shore towns in Central Jersey, the kind of place people grew up going on summer weekends with their families. For a winter wedding, the boardwalk and the waterfront have a stripped-down beauty that warmer months cover up with crowds. The Greek Orthodox ceremony at St. Barbara’s added another layer entirely. Greek churches are built to fill your eyes, the iconography and gold leaf and carved woodwork giving the ceremony photography incredible natural frames to work with at every angle.
Point Pleasant Beach is one of the most popular spots on the Jersey Shore for weddings, and Clark’s Landing is one of the reasons why. If you are planning a Shore wedding and want to see more venue options up and down the coast, check out my full guide to the best Jersey Shore wedding venues.
