Brielle & Nick’s fourth of July Park Savoy Estate Wedding in Florham Park, New Jersey was a stunner… I love working with Brielle & Nick. We had their engagement photos at Longbranch, NJ on the beach with their Yellow Labrador Retriever and we ended the shoot spraying each other with champagne. So I knew what I had in store for me on their wedding day.
One of my favorite planners DFW Event Design made sure everything was perfect, and everything was on time. I love planners because they help move things along and organize the day. As they did get things in perfect order for the preps at the Westin Governor Morris hotel in Morristown, NJ. The Westin is one of my favorite hotels, and I’ve stayed here about three times. On a side note, it has excellent space for the rehearsal dinner so you can dress up and meet your friends and family down a level or 2 on the elevator.

Bridal Portraits at Frelinghuysen Arboretum & Park Savoy Estate
I loaded my Contax 645 film camera, and we were off to this unique and fantastic location to photograph Brielle & Nicks first look together and also bridal party photographs. We had planned plenty of time, so we could just have fun and be playful together. There was an older gentleman that was walking the grounds with his wife, and I had him join in for some of the bridal party portraits. The Arboretum is a hidden gem up in Morristown, NJ. We even had room there to do photographs with their vintage Rolls Royce limousine overlooking the skyline filled with trees.
Back at the Park Savoy before the ceremony, we photographed more with Brielle & Nick. She loves the bridal suite, so we set aside a few minutes to do some black and white portraits of her in there. The room is warm and rich with gorgeous wood and decor. Also, there is stunning about of natural light coming from the windows.
The garden area is very peaceful. Couples always seem so relaxed when we are doing a private shoot there. Probably due to the high bushes, lush garden, Lilly pond, flowers, and trickling water that just oozes relaxation.
The Park Savoy Estate Wedding Ceremony
Brielle & Nick lucked out with a beautiful July 3rd day that was not unbearably hot. The Park Savoy has sweeping, lush views of greenery behind the outside ceremony altar. The venue can hold up to 375 guests for outdoor ceremonies, and there are two levels to view the ceremony. The best part of the service was Nick spraying mouth spray in his mouth before the first kiss. The surprise was pre-planned to get rid of any dragon breath he may have had.
The Park Savoy Estate Wedding Reception
The Estate is grand and luxurious with its meticulously detailed woodwork on the ceiling to the grand chandeliers that light the vast dance floor. The sweetheart table in the center of the action has the most amazing ornate fireplace that surrounds it. The reception room holds up to 350 people but doesn’t feel too big for smaller events in the 150 guest range. Also, there is an abundance of natural light that comes in from the one side of the room to make it feel warm and inviting.
As expected they got utterly wild on the dancefloor. This is totally cool with me. I would not be doing this for almost 15 years if I wasn’t having fun with the couple and their guests. I had a great time with Brielle & Nick and wish them the best!
Don’t ever dare me to dance, because the running man might come out!
