Felicia & Ben’s Crystal Point Yacht Club wedding in the Fall was one of the most fun and amazing weddings ever. I photographed Felicia’s sisters wedding Francesca the year before during a snowstorm, so it was great to see the family and everyone again during better weather conditions. Well Felicia & Francesca’s father was looking down upon them and the rest of the family on this absolutely beautiful day of late fall warmth.
About Crystal Point Yacht Club
Crystal Point Yacht Club sits on the Manasquan River in Point Pleasant, New Jersey, where the river meets the Atlantic at the Manasquan Inlet. The property has been operating as a private yacht club and wedding venue since the 1980s, with two ballrooms that both face the water. The main Grand Ballroom holds up to 350 guests and is built around a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows that look directly onto the marina, which is one of the busiest charter-boat marinas on the Jersey Shore. Ceremonies are held outside on the waterfront brick terrace, with the masts of docked sailboats as the backdrop. Crystal Point is one of the few Jersey Shore wedding venues where you can be at the actual beach in under five minutes, which is why couples like Felicia and Ben routinely build in a Point Pleasant boardwalk portrait stop.

They ran out of drink glasses…All the girls did their preps at the hotel by the venue in the morning. They were all pre-gaming like champs popping champagne and keeping it lighthearted.
Yep this is how I did all her bridal portraits… I absolutely loved the light coming in hitting the front blue door and as you can see I was standing on a sketchy plastic chair photographing Felicia’s portraits and she looks stunning!
After Felicia put on her Kleinfeld bridal dress it was time to see Ben aka Ben Jammin for the first time on their wedding day. We then all got in their limo and transportation and headed over to the beach.
Point Pleasant Beach Bridal Photos
One of my favorite places is the Point Pleasant boardwalk and we were the only ones there. The beachfront by Jenkinson’s Pier was absolutely incredible. How lucky they were to have such a warm beach day at the end of October with an almost non-existent breeze is amazing. I love the beach and so does the couple and their bridal party so we enjoyed every second there and then played a bit on the boardwalk before heading over to the venue for their ceremony.

Crystal Point Yacht Club Wedding Ceremony
The ceremony took place at Crystal Point Yacht Club overlooking the marina and fall colored trees in the background. Honestly I can’t think of a more amazing backdrop to a ceremony. We did a brief photo session for about 5 minutes with their son before it was game time for the reception!

The Grand Ballroom looked stunning at sunset, with Angela Nicole Design’s tall floral centerpieces glowing under the warm light coming off the water. Night Moves had the dance floor packed from the grand entrance through the very last song, and the band’s horn section pulled the older guests in alongside Felicia’s college friends. The Crystal Point kitchen does a Viennese-style late-night dessert spread that takes up most of the cocktail room, and the family slowed down just long enough to hit the espresso bar before getting back on the floor.

I can easily say nobody had fun, there was no dancing, and everyone hated the music. Just not at this wedding!!! They went full force from the second they were announced to the end of the night. The guests were amazing and loved seeing everyone happy!
