Summer Wedding at The Westin Hotel – Philadelphia – Jessica & Justin

You could not have asked for a more beautiful day than Jessica & Justin’s summer wedding at The Westin Hotel in Philadelphia, PA. We started documenting the day with Justin in his suite at The Westin. Justin was also a groomsman in Amanda & Josh’s wedding that I photographed a few years ago. Justin is a super relaxed guy. We did have issues getting his bowtie tied which is why they were just hanging in his first set of photographs. Jessica did her bridal preps on the next floor at The Westin. She had a beautiful bridal gown from Kleinfelds in New York. They had an amazing first look and we photographed them around this incredible garden area just a block away.

About The Westin Philadelphia

The Westin Philadelphia sits on 17th Street in the heart of Center City, connected to the Liberty Place complex and its twin glass spires. Those towers made history in 1987 when they became the first buildings in the city to rise above the brim of William Penn’s hat on City Hall, breaking a gentleman’s agreement that had capped the skyline for nearly a century. Inside, the hotel trades that drama for quiet polish, with a marble lobby and ballrooms that keep a wedding day moving smoothly. For photographs, you are a short walk from Rittenhouse Square and some of the prettiest blocks in the city.

Philadelphia Westin Hotel Wedding ceremony

Jessica & Justin’s Katuba signing ceremony and wedding were beautiful. Justin’s face when he saw her is amazing. They already saw eachother before for photographs, but it doesn’t matter that sense of joy seeing your bride walking down the isle towards you will always be there. The reception was rocking with EBE’s Rio. They did a live version of one of Phish’s songs in Japanese. I had an absolute perfect time with Jessica & Justin and can not wait to deliver their beautiful album and wall art pieces.

Philadelphia Westin Hotel Wedding Reception

EBE’s Rio had the ballroom packed from the first song, including that live Phish cover sung in Japanese that I am still thinking about. When the band is that good, my job is simple: stay close to the dance floor and keep shooting. A sleeping guest even made the highlight reel, which should be a warning to everyone.
