Rebecca & Kat’s summer Holly Hedge wedding in New Hope, PA is one of my favorite Bucks County weddings to date. Tucked into 19 acres of gardens and stone farmhouse charm, Holly Hedge Estate is an outdoor Bucks County wedding venue. Where do I begin with this amazing couple? Becca was a bridesmaid at Michael & Brianne’s wedding the previous year. She asked me for my card during the cocktail hour and told me she was engaged. Now here is the crazy part. Her fiancé was a firefighter, and the card I gave her had another firefighter from Philadelphia that she knew on the back of it. Sometimes things are meant to be!!! We had a fantastic GTKY session in Fairmount Park where I met Kat’s mom and their little pup Chuck.

What makes Holly Hedge Weddings so incredible?
First off this is one of my favorite venues that I have ever worked. I love the vintage feel. They have old wooden tire wheels, worn stone, beautiful moss growing everywhere, and lots of greenery. Second, the entire space from the reception, rooms, outdoor ceremony, and indoor ceremony areas are very natural and laid back. You feel at ease and comfortable just being there. Like you are in a bed and breakfast in Maine away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Holly Hedge weddings are gorgeous!

First Look at a Holly Hedge wedding
Kat & Becca had their first look at Holly Hedge down this long walkway by the lake. There are many private and beautiful locations at to shoot. When Kat saw Rebecca for the first time she had to look up at the sky to keep from crying. It was a heartfelt moment and my second photographer, and I stayed far away to capture the moment without interfering.

Bridal portraits at Holly Hedge wedding
If you are a natural light shooter that loves photographing with film Holly Hedge is the perfect venue! There are many nooks and scenic areas there to photograph. We used just about every area there, Starting from the large lake area all the way towards the reception.

Summer Holly Hedge Estate outdoor ceremony
Butterflies, kisses, and tears with a side order of Disney print vans. You can have the ceremony outdoors there with or without a tent or indoors as well. It was scorching and humid most of the day, and there was a chance of rain, so they opted to keep it outside of the tent just in case. Kat’s two brothers walked her down the aisle, and Rebecca’s father walked her down the aisle for the emotional entrance that as you can see took Kat’s breath away. Then after the vows, they were surprised with a butterfly release.

A Holly Hedge wedding reception
Receptions for Holly Hedge Weddings are phenomenal. They have a separate building on site that is comfortable, air-conditioned and built for parties. The party was rocking after a heartfelt first dance, parent dances, and toasts. There was an incredible amount of love between everyone at this event it just makes me smile inside. The party was a blast with people dancing all night and going back and forth to our custom photo booth they had in the entranceway. We did a custom gold sequin backdrop for a little more glitz. And my dream of rain at night came true, so we went outside for a quick rain photo to end the evening with Kat and Rebecca. I can’t thank them enough for asking me to capture their day. It was an honor. Best wishes!!!!
