The best wedding photobombs of 2017
Every season has them. The guest behind the bride mid-laugh. The flower girl looking the wrong way. The groomsman who picked the worst possible second to walk through the frame. Photobombs are some of my favorite accidental moments because they are real. Nobody planned them, nobody posed them, and they almost always make the couple laugh hardest when they see the gallery. Below is the 2017 roundup, pulled from weddings and engagement sessions across Philadelphia and the Jersey Shore.
Why photobombs matter
I shoot most weddings with a second photographer and often a small film team. That means more angles, more frames per minute, and a much better chance of catching the in-between moment that nobody else even noticed. The portraits everyone expects, we get. But these are the photographs couples end up framing for the kitchen. They show the day was alive.
Another year and another set of exquisite photobombs from random strangers. Most of the time I ask complete strangers to join the fun, but other times they just charge through. The smiles I get are just amazing! I can’t wait to see what 2018 has in store for photobombs!
