I loved working with Jaclyn & Michael for their Fall Princeton University Engagement. A few years back I photographed Jaclyn’s sister Shannon’s wedding. I was super amped to work with her and her whole family again. We photographed their session in late fall right around mid-November.

Breaking the ice like a polar bear
Jaclyn & Michael are so fun and lighthearted. There are so many times that when I photograph with a couple I have to stop shooting because we are laughing too hard. So many couples are excited and nervous when we start photographing their session. Within 5 minutes I try to break the ice with being silly, old bald me. I wanted to get a serious photo of them with their glasses on looking dead on at the camera. We had to do this a few times because we kept cracking up.

Finding fall colors in New Jersey
In South-Central New Jersey the last week of October is usually the peak for fall colors. However, you can always still find a few trees that have some beautiful coloring for a few weeks after the main peak. For Jaclyn there was an incredible tree in the middle of Princeton University’s campus that was a little more hidden from heavy winds. I always look for trees that are somewhat sheltered as they keep their leaves longer.
Princeton University engagement campus grounds
It is amazing capturing Fall Princeton University Engagement Photos. I typically shoot a bit longer because the campus has so much to offer. You can see more about different spots to photograph on Princeton’s campus on Alana’s recent blog post. Typically, if you are photographing at a big university it is best to know the grounds well. Princeton has some beautiful nooks and crannies depending on the time of day.

Like a boss….

I can’t wait to share Jaclyn & Michaels epic winter snow storm wedding in a future blog post. Thanks again for being such an incredible couple and awesome people!
