Veronica and Matt will be getting married at The Merion in Cinnaminson, New Jersey. The Merion is one of South Jersey’s most recognized ballroom wedding venues, with large formal spaces and a production staff that has handled hundreds of receptions. The venue itself is traditional and polished, which is exactly why the vintage 60s concept for this GTKY session made sense. The contrast between the organic, film-based session and the formal ballroom on the wedding day makes for two very different and equally strong sets of photographs.

The Holga is a medium format film camera that produces square images with natural vignetting and light leaks from the plastic lens. You cannot recreate that in post. All the film from this session was sent to Richard Photo Lab in Los Angeles for developing and scanning. We use them for all our fine art film work because the consistency of their processing is worth the turnaround time. Veronica embraced the whole concept completely, from the large brimmed hat down to how she moved through the session. That kind of commitment from a subject is what makes a concept session actually work.
