Lauren & Ryan just radiate style and elegance with everything they touch as you can see from their Windows on the Water Frogbridge wedding. Their GTKY session at Monmouth University was terrific. They brought their style with them regarding a black and white suit and her in stunning gold, shimmery dress. But for their wedding, they went with very classic beauty. We started off at their hotel in West Windsor NJ, and the bridal party was entertaining and light-hearted for the preps. Lauren put on her beautiful Kleinfeld bridal dress and intricately detailed Badgley Mischka shoes before it was time for her first look with Ryan.
We photographed their first look at Windows on the Water at Frogbridge where they had their wedding and reception as well. I love working here as the staff is fantastic and the grounds have so many incredible romantic locations to photograph. The blue-dyed lake is also excellent as it looks tropical.
Outdoor ceremonies for Windows on the water Frogbridge weddings are gorgeous with the late fall sun setting in the background as they the lake was behind on them. I always plan to create all the photographs with the family/bridal party and the couple before the ceremony when everything takes place at the same location. This way they don’t miss a second of the time being with their friends and family during the cocktail hour.
After such a beautiful day it was only proper to take them outside for a few minutes to photograph with the gorgeous fountain and string lights outside the venue before they did their grand sparkler send-off. They have an incredible album from their day that tells their unique story as well as an ethereal infrared wall art canvas of them at the lake surrounded by trees. Best wishes for this awesome couple.
About Windows on the Water at Frogbridge
Windows on the Water at Frogbridge is the wooded, lakefront half of the Windows on the Water family. The property sits on 78 acres in Millstone Township, New Jersey, about 25 minutes inland from Sea Bright, and the centerpiece is a private four-acre lake that the venue dyes a deep blue every season so it photographs like a tropical pool. Couples get the full property for the day, including the tented reception space, the lakeside ceremony lawn, and the surrounding pine woods, which is the part most photographers care about because the late afternoon light filters through the trees in a way you cannot replicate at a hotel ballroom.

Why we shot infrared at Frogbridge
Lauren and Ryan ordered an infrared canvas wall art piece from this gallery, and it is one of the frames I am proudest of from this venue. The blue-dyed lake at Frogbridge already photographs unusually because of how the surface reflects, but when you push it through an infrared filter the green of the surrounding pine trees turns white and the water goes nearly black. That kind of frame only works at a few venues in New Jersey. Frogbridge is one of them because the trees are mature enough to fill the background and the lake is clean enough to mirror them.

Tented reception flow on the Frogbridge lawn
The reception at Frogbridge runs under a tent on the lawn rather than inside a building, which changes the photo timeline in a few specific ways. String lights take over once the sun drops, the lake reflects the tent glow back at the camera, and the late-night portraits we did with Lauren and Ryan by the fountain came out warmer than anything we shot inside the venue all night. If you are booking Frogbridge, plan a five minute window between the cake cutting and the last set so you can step outside for those frames before the sparkler send-off.
