Rebecca & Matt had perfect summer weather for their Wildwood engagement session. So I met Rebecca three years ago photographing her family company holiday party. It is amazing that I know her family so well before their wedding date.
So a few years back Rebecca and Matt actually met down in Wildwood at one of the local hot spots. We had to plan a Wildwood engagement session since their wedding was going to be in South Jersey nowhere near this beach area that held so many light-hearted and fun memories together.
They chose the perfect day for their session: sunny, warm and beautiful! We actually planned their session out months in advance. North Wildwood is a pretty cool beach area because there are so many unique areas for a shore town. They have cool jetties everywhere and also some of the beach curves giving a different angle of the sun while it sets close to that golden hour of light. I don’t know why they call it a “golden hour” since it only lasts like 15-20 minutes!

Wildwood, New Jersey is one of the Shore’s most iconic beach towns, packed with classic 1950s Doo Wop architecture, wide free beaches, and the famous North Wildwood jetties that create incredible angles for photographs as the sun drops toward the water. The boardwalk runs for miles and brings a laid-back energy that’s hard to find anywhere else on the East Coast. Wildwood engagement session
Rebecca is a very well planned out bride with clothing accessories and fun items. We planned on having some light-hearted fun with silly string before jumping into the ocean at the end of their session. I know it sounds silly but I love when couples destroy themselves with something at the end of their shoots. It is fun but also kind of couple’s therapy. They always are so happy together after things like silly string, water fights, etc..
We created so many awesome custom heirloom goodies for them from this session. They have custom bamboo fine art Save the Date cards we created as well as three pieces of canvas wall art and a beautiful album that they will be using as a signing message album at their wedding.
I am pretty amped to spend another day with them and their family this summer in South Jersey for their wedding day.
