Jennifer & Michael’s Trump National Philadelphia Wedding was perfect! I love working with with the couple as we always share a ton of laughs together. I remember I even nicknamed one of her bridesmaids “Parfait” because I’ve never seen a bridesmaid ever eat a parfait while the bride was getting ready and doing her preps. They lucked out because the weather was absolutely stunning for their wedding day!
There are always so many amazing areas to photograph on the grounds at Trump National Golf Club of Philadelphia. The ceremonies at Trump National are stunning and overlook all of South Jersey and the Philadelphia skyline. Jennifer has a thing for chandeliers. She had to include one in their wedding ceremony arch along with a stunning floral arrangement. The light was amazing during the ceremony and it was beautiful.
Towards the end of cocktail hour, we planned on doing a mini 5-8 minute session at sunset. If you have ever been to Trump National, you should definitely plan for a sunset photograph as it is one of the most amazing areas being up on the 18th hole up overlooking the skyline. A note on the chandelier arch
Jennifer wanted a chandelier in her ceremony arch, which was a first for me at Trump National. The florist built it as a single piece, suspended over a floral half-circle, and we hung it under the cocktail tent frame so the late afternoon light came through the crystals from the side. I have shot dozens of weddings here and never seen the same arch twice. The venue gives couples enough room to actually try something, and the staff stays out of your way while you build it. That kind of latitude is rare for a country club.
First Look
Most couples that have a Trump National Philadelphia Wedding do a first look/reveal before the ceremony since the ceremony and reception are at the same location. It allows for a lighthearted, natural and fun session to create photographs that they will have forever. I love how comfortable they are together as a couple and how they make each other laugh.
The 18th hole sunset session
The five to eight minute sunset session at the 18th hole is something I plan into every Trump National timeline now, and Jennifer and Michael’s was a textbook example of why. We left cocktail hour twenty minutes before sunset, took a cart up the cart path, and were back in the ballroom before guests realized they were gone. The silhouette frames you see in the canvas wall art they ordered came from a four minute window where the sky behind the skyline went from gold to magenta. If you miss that window, you do not get it back, which is why the cocktail hour timing on a Trump National Saturday matters more than couples expect.

Jennifer found her florist before she found her venue, which is unusual but it worked. Addie Rose handled the chandelier build and the ceremony florals, and her dress came from The Bridal Garden in a Paloma Blanca cut that photographed beautifully on the cart path. Hair was Nail Magic, makeup was Kacey Rosenberg of Makeup by Kacey, and the Ralph Lauren shoes ended up in more frames than anyone expected. The Trump National in-house catering and event team handled everything else, which is part of why this venue is on so many shortlists.
