Laura and Justin’s spring wedding was a hometown South Jersey classic. The morning started with relaxed preparations and a private first look, followed by a traditional church ceremony at Trinity Episcopal Church in the heart of Moorestown. From there it was a quick hop down Main Street to the Moorestown Community House, where DJ Joe Moser kept the dance floor packed all night. Spring weddings in this town are hard to beat. The trees were in full bloom, the light stayed soft all afternoon, and everything sat within a few blocks, which kept the whole timeline easy.
About the Moorestown Community House
The Moorestown Community House has anchored Main Street since 1926, when the residents of Moorestown raised the money to build the town a proper gathering place. Almost a century later it still belongs to the community, hosting everything from theater productions and town events to wedding receptions under one colonial brick roof. Inside, the main ballroom comes with a real stage, tall windows, and warm wood details that photograph beautifully without much fuss. Couples love it because it feels like Moorestown: classic, unpretentious, and full of history. Our team loves it because the building gives you character in every direction, plus a lawn and porch for portraits when the light cooperates.

Getting Ready
The day started easy. Laura and her girls handled hair and makeup while Justin and the guys did what groomsmen do best, which is get dressed in record time and then relax. We split our team so we could photograph both sides of the morning, the details, the dresses, and all the in-between moments that make the start of a wedding day feel like a holiday. By the time Laura was in her gown, the nerves had turned into pure excitement.
The First Look
Laura and Justin chose to see each other before the ceremony, and on a church timeline that is one of the smartest calls a couple can make. A private first look means real reactions without an audience, and it unlocks the afternoon for portraits while everyone is fresh. Justin’s face said it all. After a few minutes to themselves, we rounded up the wedding party and worked through portraits before heading to the church.
Trinity Episcopal Church Wedding Ceremony
Trinity Episcopal Church gave Laura and Justin the full traditional ceremony, stone walls, stained glass, and a center aisle made for a grand exit. Older churches like this ask a photographer to work quietly and know the light, so we shot long and unobtrusive during the vows, then used the altar and the church grounds for family formals right after. By the time Laura and Justin came down the front steps as newlyweds, the spring sun was exactly where we wanted it.
Moorestown Community House Wedding Reception
A short ride down Main Street and the party was on. Mum’s the Word dressed the ballroom in spring florals, and DJ Joe Moser from DJs Available read the room perfectly all night, dinner sets that let people talk, then a dance floor that never emptied. The Community House ballroom is a great room to photograph a reception in. The stage gives the DJ a proper home, the ceiling height keeps the room feeling open even at full capacity, and the warm lighting flatters everybody. Laura and Justin spent the night exactly where you want a couple to be, in the middle of the dance floor surrounded by their people.
