Riana and Kyle’s Kimmel Center wedding in Philadelphia was one for the books. The couple both love Philly sports and have roots in NYC and Delaware, and they chose the Kimmel Center for the rooftop views, the glassed-in ceremony space, and that perfectly Philly Broad Street vibe. Fall foliage at Race Street Pier, sunset rooftop ceremony, Garces food at the reception, and a packed dance floor with DJ Apollo Blaq, this one had everything.

The couple chose Race Street Pier for their photographs, with its amazing fall foliage colors as the background. They also had their reveal and read their vows to each other privately. Our cinema team was there to document every spoken word. We took photographs all over the pier, with the Ben Franklin Bridge as a beautiful backdrop.
Kimmel Center Rooftop Wedding Ceremony
The Kimmel Center’s glassed-in rooftop was the perfect setting for the couple’s ceremony, performed by a close loved one. The sun was setting, giving a warm glow to the entire ceremony. Right after the big kiss, we whisked them away to the outside balcony to capture some amazing photographs that will be their canvas wall art piece forever.
Kimmel Center Wedding Reception in Philadelphia
Kimmel Center wedding receptions are truly unique. The cocktail hour was held on the 2nd floor with a balcony overlooking City Hall on Broad Street. Garces did an incredible job creating delicious food and were a pleasure to work with. After some emotional speeches, DJ Apollo Blaq had the dance floor packed. We ended their story by sneaking the couple out onto Broad Street at night for some night-time classic views of Philadelphia.

Why the Kimmel Center Works for a Philadelphia Wedding
The Kimmel Center is a really cool spot for a Philly wedding because it gives you something most ballrooms don’t, a glassed-in rooftop with a view of City Hall and Broad Street. The light during a sunset ceremony up there is incredible, and stepping out onto the balcony for portraits right after the kiss is a moment we will never forget. Add the Garces catering, the cocktail hour balcony overlooking Broad Street, and how easy it is for guests to walk to hotels like the Loews, Notary, or Ritz, and you have a Philly wedding that feels properly Philadelphia without being a generic ballroom night.
