I was excited to photograph Kim & Josh’s Clarks Landing Yacht Club Wedding. We first got to create with Kim and Josh last year during their awesome country-themed GTKY session, but we had first met them at Kim’s sister Jennifer’s wedding. The fun continued on Kim & Josh’s wedding day! Kim and all of the ladies got ready at her parent’s house that morning. Out back, we were able to create with them by her childhood playhouse, which is actually where both Jen and Kim were proposed to! (At separate times, of course). Luckily, we were able to evade the poison ivy to get in some great shots with the bridesmaids. From there, we headed to Holy Eucharist Church for their ceremony.
Kim and Josh pulled up to their reception at their beautiful Clarks Landing Yacht Club wedding in an awesome old trolley car. We went out on the dock to create with the whole bridal party, and ended up making some new friends while at it. We went across the street to some railroad tracks to create a bit more, and then we headed back to do some awesome infrared photographs by the dock. There was a gorgeous room right next to the dance floor that was perfect for some high-fashion style photos with Kim & Josh. The armoire in their bridal suite was also ideal as a unique prop! They had a beautiful first dance with sunlight streaming in through the windows creating a whimsical feel. We had a wonderful day with the whole family and can’t wait to see them again!
