Jingjing and Ethan had a very laid back and fun Belle Voir Manor wedding in Bensalem, PA. Jingjing’s family is from China. Her parents did not speak any English but were super sweet. Jingjing taught me some Chinese phrases to communicate with them, and we had some serious fun together for this small 50 person wedding.
Jingjing had her hair and makeup done offsite, but the rest of her preps were at the Belle Voir Manor’s bridal suite. I had Ethan and Jingjing have their first look together under the covered spot with classic columns and flowered vines covering the backdrop. The light was so soft and natural there that we stayed put for a few minutes before walking down toward the river. So for anyone that has been to this venue the views of the Delaware River are stunning but it is a bit of a walk. This long walk when it’s 90 degrees in the middle of the day in the summer (there is not tree coverage at all) is challenging to your deodorant.
Belle Voir Manor Wedding Ceremony
The ceremony was short and sweet, just how I like it! The officiant was laid back and great to work with. I love outdoor ceremonies! The natural light! I can get unique angles all while being stealth. They had the biggest smiles together after the ceremony ended and they had their recessional.
Belle Voir Manor Wedding Reception
Their Sunday wedding that was in the afternoon instead of the evening as most weddings. The first dance was emotional and very sweet. The reception was very laid back, and they were not prominent dancers. After the parent dances both Jingjing and Ethan changed into traditional Chinese attire, and we had fun photographing their family and friends outside. The day ended with a mini shoot with them and their mini cooper. I loved working with Jingjing and Ethan and so happy for them!
